Kuala Lumpur, 18 June 2014 – Eversendai Corporation Berhad (“Eversendai” or the “Group”), a provider of specialist engineering and construction services, has secured new projects worth over RM152 million through its subsidiary companies in Qatar and India.

Eversendai has continued its trend of strengthening its foothold in the Middle East by securing the Gabbro Terminal Expansion project in the Mesaieed state in Qatar worth RM78.7 million. The scope of work includes the fabrication and supply of structural steel as well as the installation of mechanical works.

Eversendai also secured the contract for the Skylight Steel Package 2 of the Mall of Qatar in Doha worth RM16.3 million. The Skylight Steel Package 2 contract comprises the connection design, supply, fabrication, erection and fire proofing steel works and is due to be completed in April 2015. Both projects in Qatar will complement and contribute to the country’s growing popularity as an economic and tourism hub. As the Group aims to continuously expand its footing in India, we are also pleased to have been awarded an RM57.1 million contract by Reliance Industries Limited for the supply of fabricated structural steel works for their J3 Project in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India.
