Kuala Lumpur, 22 August 2013 – Eversendai Corporation Berhad (“Eversendai”), a leading and well-established integrated structural steel turnkey and power plant contractor, has secured a string of contracts through its subsidiaries in the Middle East and India for infrastructure projects recently with the total amount in the region of RM80 million.
Excellent engineering and well equipped fabrication facilities alongside in-depth experience and expertise have enabled Eversendai to continue securing complex and challenging projects across the region where it has operation presence, especially in the Middle East. Amongst the recent projects awarded, the largest single contract was a RM32.8 million project to construct the Qatar Foundation Research & Development Complex in Doha, Qatar. Awarded by Qatar Foundation, the scope of work undertaken by Eversendai includes design, supply, fabrication and erection of steel. The construction of this complex is scheduled to be completed by 31st December 2013.
Meanwhile, in Abu Dhabi, Eversendai was commissioned to be involved in the construction of another iconic structure known as the Masdar Headquarters with a project value of RM24.3 million. The headquarters will be one of the most advanced, sustainable multi-use complexes in the United Arab Emirates. It will also act as the cornerstone of Masdar City- the special economic zone, clean-technology cluster and low-carbon city in Abu Dhabi.
Not one to rest on its laurels, Eversendai has also strengthened its foothold in India with the securing of several projects in the country. The notable projects include the RM9.3 million World One King Tower in Mumbai as well as the RM5.8 million Signature Tower TCS Siruseri project in Chennai.
