Malaysia, February 23, 2012 – Eversendai Corporation Berhad (the “Group”), a dynamic specialist structural steel and power plant contractor with an impeccable international track record together with Alstom Power Systems SA, Alstom Services Sdn Bhd and Mudajaya Corporation Berhad has signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract in relation to the design, construction, commissioning and completion of a Coal-Fired Power Plant with a net capacity of 1,000MW at Tanjung Bin (“EPC Contract”) with Tanjung Bin Energy Issuer Berhad (formerly known as Powerfield Sdn. Bhd.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanjung Bin Energy Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Transpool Sdn. Bhd.), which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad.
The Group’s scope of work in this project is the mechanical equipment and structure erection works for Tanjung Bin and the contract value of this project amounts to RM367,426,718.74.
