Kuala Lumpur, December 26, 2018 – Eversendai Corporation Berhad (“the Group”), a world leader in the structural steel construction business continues to win new contracts. Its group of companies in Singapore, Qatar and India has won a total of RM321 million new contracts.
The new win consists of a 26-storey commercial building project in Singapore and an army base camp project in Qatar. In India, the Group bagged a 49-storey tower plus another 41-storey commercial tower and a railway bridge project.
Tan Sri A K Nathan, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of Eversendai Corporation Berhad said, “We are pleased to note that the market environment in the regions we operate remain positive as they continue to roll out commercial, residential and infrastructure projects progressively. We are also constantly reviewing and implementing strategic plans to improvise within, while consolidating our effort to ensure we achieve our goals”.
Recently, in India, Eversendai completed the construction of the world’s tallest statue known as ‘Statue of Unity’, a highly complex world landmark structure with a height of 182 metres. “This is another significant milestone achievement to continue our well-known reputation and established more than 30-year unblemished track record delivering with safety, quality and timely completion,” he said.
Year to date (YTD), Eversendai has secured new jobs worth a total of RM1.44 billion while its outstanding construction order book stands at RM2.43 billion. “We are pleased with our widespread order backlog that should keep us busy over the coming years,” he concluded.
